Sarah is a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto in 2009.
Sarah strongly believes in the resilience of the human spirit, and she sees it confirmed daily in her work. She is passionate about helping people find their internal strength and starts from a place of kindness, compassion, and non-judgment. Her hope is that her clients feel safe and comfortable during their sessions and feel empowered after sessions.
Sarah provides clients with the tools they need to meet their goals. She feels it is a privilege to hear her clients’ stories and witness their journeys. She utilizes several treatment modalities including but not limited to: Mindfulness-based approaches, Narrative Therapy, EMDR, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Recovery Orientated Cognitive Therapy (CT-R). She values helping clients shape their own goals and paths in therapy.
Sarah is a fully trained EMDR therapist. She also has advanced training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy from the Beck Institute and CBT for psychosis through Ontario Shores. She specializes in low mood, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, grief, trauma, and psychosis.
