Jenna Morrison, BASc., MSc. (Candidate)
Jenna (she/her) believes that everyone deserves a space where we can fully focus on ourselves, commit to our goals, and create a life that not only works for us but that we enjoy living. She acknowledges that life can be hectic and difficult but also recognizes that it can be hopeful, fun, and unique. Jenna strives to help her clients identify and maintain this balance by promoting balanced thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Whether it be an empathetic ear, a shoulder to lean on, or a partner to help explore your life with you, Jenna is committed to creating a secure place for exploration to unfold.
Jenna is comfortable working with individuals of varying severity. For example, those who are looking to heal from a specific event, need more prompt care, or are simply looking for some additional support. Whatever the desire, Jenna is happy to provide her clients with a safe, open, and collaborative environment that nurtures learning and moves clients towards their goals.
Jenna enjoys having a flexible framework that adapts to the unique lives of her clients. She believes that therapy is not one size fits all and is passionate about working with clients from all walks of life. Jenna celebrates that you are the expert of your life and recognizes that it is a privilege to be able to fit herself into that puzzle. Her area of focus includes working with youth, emerging adults, couples and adults living with depression and anxiety related issues, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and individuals seeking support with life transitions, general stress, academic and performance related stress, relationship struggles, emotion management, perfectionistic tendencies, body image, and self-esteem.
Jenna is currently finishing her Masters of Science in the Psychotherapy program at McMaster University. She majored in Honours Human Behaviour and minored in business at McMaster University. Jenna has experience working in private practice as well as at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton in the Mood Disorders Clinic. She was honoured to have received specialized training in both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and has vast experience with DBT.
When Jenna is not in the office, you can find her walking her dog, at a patio having dinner with her friends, catching up on the latest binge-worthy television series or reading the latest romance novel.
