Minomi received training in trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Clinic at St Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, where she worked predominantly with individuals presenting with difficulties associated with anxiety and depression. She volunteers as a crisis responder at Talk Suicide for the past 6 years, where she supports youth and adults with imminent or ongoing crises.
In addition to training in CBT, Minomi is knowledgeable and has skills in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
Her training and experience allows treatment of concerns such as anxiety, mood, emotion dysregulation, and suicidal thoughts. She appreciates lifelong learning and continues to attend conferences and workshops to supplement her skills in psychotherapy.
