Julie Rice
BA | INTAKE COORDINATOR
(SHE/HER)
Julie is often the first voice you will hear on the phone when you call (or email) our clinic. She is a graduate of the University of Lethbridge with a degree in Anthropology, and is an experienced intake coordinator with years of experience working at a not-for-profit mental health and family agency in Hamilton. She is the backbone of our team and someone who consistently greets others with a sense of warmth, understanding, and support. Julie has years of expertise and knowledge working in the field of mental health, and is highly versed in mental health resources in the area.
Julie strives to make sure individuals and families are entering into strong counselling relationships that will be beneficial and supportive. As queer-identifying, she wants to ensure that everyone attending counselling is doing so in an affirming environment that doesn’t judge people for who they are or how they identify. She wants individuals to feel safe to express their real and authentic self through the intake process and into their counselling sessions.
