Erica received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Western Ontario, following the completion of her Bachelor of Social Work and Bachelor of Arts at McMaster University. She trained in McMaster Children’s Hospital Adolescent Eating Disorder Clinic and Victoria Hospital Adult Inpatient Mental Health Unit.
Erica has experience working at Kinark Child and Family Services as a clinical therapist, providing therapy to children and youth with complex needs, in both outpatient and day treatment settings. In addition, she has worked at Woodview Mental Health and Autism services, where she worked with adolescents struggling with school anxiety and school refusal, provided family therapy, and taught a skills group for parents. Currently, she holds a position as a mental health counsellor at the Hamilton Family Health Team providing mental health support to people of all ages.
Erica provides individual treatment, family therapy, and parent coaching. She firmly believes in creating a strong therapeutic alliance and building a foundation of trust with her clients. Her specialized training and experience allow her to treat a wide variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, behaviour disorders, emotion regulation difficulties, ADHD, suicidal thoughts, and intrusive thoughts.

Erica has been trained in multiple evidence-based treatments including: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Unified Protocol for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders (UP), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She believes in life long learning, and is always actively furthering her education.
