BA Hons., MSc., RP(Q)
I’m a registered psychotherapist (qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), with a Master of Science in Psychotherapy from McMaster University. My path into this work has always been rooted in empathy, kindness, and a deep passion for understanding the human experience.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness-based practices. I received a bachelor's degree in social psychology with a minor in mental health & addictions at McMaster University, and have pursued additional training to deepen my skills in CBT and ACT.
My clinical experience includes both non-profit mental health and private practice settings. These roles have allowed me to support individuals facing complex mental health concerns and have given me a deeper understanding of how societal barriers can shape well-being and life circumstances. My experiences have shown me the importance of cultivating a safe place for others to explore their experiences and engaging in self-reflection as a therapist.
I believe in a holistic, culturally sensitive approach to care—one that honours each person's unique story, values, and strengths. Building meaningful relationships is at the heart of my work. I am continually inspired by the resilience of those I walk alongside, and I hold deep hope that even in moments of profound difficulty and healing, a future with less languish is possible.
