Andrya Mauro

After completing a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at McMaster University, Andrya completed her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She is trained in early childhood and adolescent development, with a focus on counselling and assessment. Andrya also trained in an educational setting in Washington, D.C., where she engaged in psychological/diagnostic assessments and evidence-based psychological treatment.

More recently, Andrya worked full-time at the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board where she completed psychological assessments and engaged in program development and group treatment of anxiety and depression. In addition, Andrya also worked in private practice at Child and Youth Psychological Services where she worked with children and adolescents to help manage their anxiety and depression.

Andrya has received specialized training to help individuals struggling with executive functioning and social skills. Andrya enjoys working with children and adolescents who are struggling with anxiety, executive function and low mood. She also enjoys conducting psychoeducational assessments in order to ensure children are receiving the correct accommodations and support in their educational settings.
