Rachel is a graduate of the Masters of Social Work program at the University of Toronto. During this time, she was trained in the assessment and treatment of anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre (ATRC) at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton. She co-facilitated cognitive-behavioural (CBT) based groups and provided individual counselling. In addition, she trained in the Child & Youth Outpatient Mental Health program at the Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, where she provided both individual and group psychotherapy within a multidisciplinary team.

Rachel currently holds a social work position at the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre (ATRC) where she facilitates numerous CBT groups such as Social Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and OCD, and CPT for PTSD. She continues to specialize in the treatment of youth.

Rachel has been with Valley Centre for Counselling since September 2017. She enjoys working with youth and emerging adults, particularly with individuals struggling with anxiety, emotion dysregulation, and other related problems. Rachel has a keen interest in healthy relationships and their importance to our wellness. Rachel uses a collaborative approach and strongly believes in beginning with a foundation of rapport-building with clients.
